Kemri Conservation aims to rebuild the ecosystem of the area by protecting lands
to aid natural regeneration, augmenting freshwater capacity, restoring
bio-diversity and spearheading reforestation. Success in this work strengthens
the entire food chain from the soil, plants and trees, through the populations
of herbivores, carnivores, insects, marine and avian life.
We understand that an ecology is closely linked to the human communities
inhabiting the surrounding areas – infact to a large extent, the two are
interdependent. We therefore reach out to the neighbouring villages through
employment generation and education support to make them partners in the
conservation effort.
Kemri Nature Reserve and the villages of Bathera, Kemri, Sarvaniya and Patolia
are the geographic areas where the Kemri Conservation is active, located 44 km
from the city of Udaipur, in Rajasthan, India
