Udaipur is the nearest major city, 44 km from our location. We are 22 km from
Udaipur airport and 45 km from Udaipur railway station. Udaipur was the capital
of the erstwhile kingdom of Mewar which seceded into the Republic of India in
1947 when India gained independence from the British. It is one of the larger
cities in the State of Rajasthan in Western India with a population of 400,000.
To reach Kemri Nature Reserve, Rawla Bathera from Udaipur, these are
instructions for the driver:
-
From Udaipur city drive on National Highway (NH) 76 towards Chittor, Ajmer
etc. The Udaipur airport will pass on your right about 22 km from Udaipur city.
-
Go 10 km past airport on NH 76, then look for right turn towards village Modi,
Bathera and Adinda. A large (10 meter, 30 feet high) white darwaza (gateway) is
visible on your right at this junction. Don’t miss it – landmarks are seldom as
prominent.
-
Turn right off the NH 76, go through the darwaza (gateway) on a single road.
Go past Modi village 5 km from the darwaza, then ask for Bathera village another
5 km away.
-
As an additional guide, from the darwaza, follow the sign posts in Hindi for
Adinda Parshwanath Mandir all the way until you arrive at Bathera.
-
Just 200 meters before Bathera village, you cross a bridge over a small lake,
and then the road climbs steeply towards the village Panchayat (pink coloured
building). Ask there for Rawla Bathera, on your left.
