Registered in July 2009, Kemri Conservation Trust (the Trust), is a not for
profit public charitable entity.
Certain Trusts, Societies and class of Limited Liability Companies (for example
under Section 25 of the Indian Companies Act) are often referred to as
Non-government organizations (NGO), particularly if they are set up with
charitable objectives.
July 2009 : Kemri Conservation Trust (the Trust) registered with the Registrar
of Assurances in Udaipur, in the State of Rajasthan, India.
March 2010 : The Trust certified as a public charity by the Devasthan Vibhag
(similar to Charities Commissioner) of the State of Rajasthan, India.
November 2011 : The Trust obtained renewed exemptions from Income Tax for
donations it receives from public (section 80 G) and on income from interest
earned on accounts held with Indian banks (section 12 A) under the relevant
provisions of the Indian Income Tax Act.
